Vicky Palmer artist

 BIOGRAPHY

Vicky Palmer has been drawing or painting most of her life and has always had an affinity with faces, be they human or animal., hence the world of portraiture & animal portraiture

about me portrait, pet portrait and animal artist

Vicky Palmer is an award winning artist and has become known for her contemporary photographic style of animal portraiture. She is based in Wiltshire, where she is inspired by the surrounding countryside and it’s inhabitants.
Vicky’s style of plain unfussy back-grounds allow the viewer to place their own take on the animals she paints, removing them from their traditional environments, as often is depicted. This compliments the highly detailed focus of all manner of animals, including the beautiful fox hound packs which are based in the surrounding counties. As with portraits of people, she tries to capture the unique character of each animal in her work.

Vicky has been drawing or painting for most of her life and trained at Bristol and Salisbury before pursuing a career as a graphic design-er. The arrival of two small girls and their move to an idyllic hamlet in Wiltshire inspired her to start painting full time. Winner of the prestig-ious Trilogy Award from the Society of Women Artists in 2016, she has exhibited at the Country life Fair where her subject matter has proved extremely popular; her work is shown extensively around London and the South of England, and she is a regular exhibitor at the Animal Art Fair. Vicky has exhibited to great success in the south of England and her list of collectors includes Lady Judith McAlpine, Alan Titchmarsh and Mary Berry.

She is now selling limited edition prints of her artwork of animals and cards as well as taking commissions for portraits (price dependent on size and medium.)
